experience by following these guidelines:



In order to fully enjoy your services, please arrive on time for your scheduled appointment. When you arrive, please take a moment to check in with our receptionist so that we may expedite your appointment. 

We want to make sure that each guest has the most relaxing and enjoyable experience possible. To help ensure this, we ask that you turn your cell phones to vibrate mode when arriving at the salon. 

Our waiting area is cozy, and will only accommodate a few people. Please limit the number of people that are waiting for you during your appointment.

The B Hive Salon will always offer you these three things: a complimentary consultation before most salon or spa services so we can ensure that you get exactly what you came for; guidance about which services, products and accessories we offer that will enhance not just your sense of style, but your lifestyle; and a personalized recommendation for beauty and wellness products that maximize and maintain the results of this visit through to the next 

We also provide an assortment of U.S.D.A. Certified Organic Herbal Teas and Organic and Fair Trade Coffee as well as 5 times filters water using the patented Quench eco-friendly bottles system for a full the full complement of purification technologies to remove bacteria, viruses, parasites, toxins, and bad taste.

For your convenience The B Hive Salon provides free WIFI and a wide array of magazines and newspapers including Natural Awakenings Magazine.

OUR STAFF
Our staff works as a team and hair dressing is a form of art. The B Hive Salon celebrates the creativity and individuality of our service providers, they are committed to their art as well as serving you. If you are dissatisfied with one of our service providers, please feel free to call and give us the opportunity to work through it with you. It may be something simple that can be remedied easily by the same stylist or you may find a better fit with one of other service providers. Either way, we want you to feel comfortable communicating with us. 

Our team encourages you to try a service with whomever you like. Believe it or not, it helps stimulate creativity within our environment. 

Please remember we cannot get better without your feedback.

Our staff works on a Level System, which measures experience and years of dedication. Those at higher levels are more often educators and lecturers that have established a high client demand. This encourages stability and allows our employees to grow and prosper based on years of loyalty and dedication to their profession and clients. We provide artists and wellness technicians at every level to best suit the needs of our clients.

PRIVACY POLICY
Some services may be booked through our online booking system. We also sell gift certificates through our website. These transactions as well as any credit/debit card transactions are made through a secure server. The B Hive Salon will have no access to these transaction details, and will not release any personal information obtained inside the salon & spa to any outside parties. 

Email addresses are used strictly for special event updates and appointment confirmation. Clients may request the removal of their email address at any time. If you choose to opt out of promotional and event emails we encourage you to continue to receive your appointment confirmations and credit card receipts by email.

NEW CLIENT CONSULTATION
Consultations are FREE and BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. 

There are typically NO SATURDAY CONSULTATIONS due to the high volume of scheduled clients being serviced on this day. Exceptions can be made if needed on a case-by-case basis.

ALLERGIES AND SENSITIVITIES
The B Hive Salon has a great knack for treating clients with hair and scalp issues due to illness, allergies and medications. Natural products may contain ingredients that can cause a reaction in some clients. We have hair color options free from PPD or PTD, as well as both PPD/PTD free.

Please notify us in advance of any allergies or sensitivities. 

A patch test is recommended and required for all clients that have allergies or sensitivities to hair coloring or highlighting services.

TYPES OF PAYMENTS ACCEPTED
The B Hive accepts Credit, Debit, Cash and personal checks for hair and spa services. Hair products and retail merchandise may also be purchased using these methods. We do accept MasterCard, Visa, and Discover cards, but DO NOT accept American Express cards of any kind. 
Personal checks are accepted from any major bank within the state of NJ. We DO NOT accept third party or posted dated checks. You may be asked for a state issued I.D. for verification.

A returned check or card transaction will result in a $35 fee in addition to the face value of the original check for services.

GRATUITIES
Gratuities are appreciated and at the discretion of our clients. The B Hive DOES NOT allow tips to be added to any credit card or debit card transaction.
Gift certificates do not include gratuities.

APPOINTMENT CONFIRMATIONS
Appointment confirmations as conveniently sent via email, push notification or text message. If at any time you would like to customize how your confirmations are sent you may log into your account. Your account information is available as part of any receipt or booking email.

TIMELY ARRIVAL
We want your salon experience to be as enjoyable as possible. In order to expedite your service, we ask that our clients arrive on time. We will do our best to ensure that your appointment begins on time and is completed in a timely fashion.

However, if we are running behind schedule, we will call you in order to prevent you from having to wait.

The salon cannot guarantee services to clients who arrive later than 15 minutes after their scheduled time. If you call to inform us that you are running late we will do our best to accommodate you. 

The B Hive Salon reserves the right to refuse service to clients who are more than 15 minutes late to an appointment.

CANCELATIONS
In the event that you have to cancel your appointment, please call to reschedule 24 hours in advance. KeraGreen, Keratin treatments, relaxers, perms and other specialty services require 72 hours notice for cancelation. Any cancelation after the time mentioned will result in the cost of service due as booked.

If you do not call, and do not arrive for your appointment, it will be considered a “no show” and you will be charged 100% of the service cost, payable on your next visit. 

The B Hive Salon reserves the right to refuse service to anyone who is a “no show” for more than two appointments.

APPOINTMENT AVAILABILITY
We encourage you to book you next appointment at the completion of your service based on your stylists’ recommendation. 
If appointments aren’t available during your desired date and time, we will add your name to a cancellation list and in the event of a cancellation; you will be contacted by phone or email.

We reserve the right to refuse service to any client for improper conduct, tardiness, no shows, or any other situation we deem inappropriate.

CHILDREN IN THE SALON
We are kid friendly and do provide children’s hair services Well-behaved children are always welcome, but the salon can be a dangerous place for young children due to all the sharp instruments. 

If a child is too young to sit patiently and wait for your services to be done, we ask that you make other arrangements for your children. This is for their safety as well as it allows others guests to enjoy their time in the salon. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this matter.

USE OF SALON EQUIPMENT
Clients are never permitted to use salon equipment whatsoever. If you choose to skip the blow drying services your stylist may opt to dry some parts of your hair to check the results of your hair color subject to available time. Color results can not be guaranteed unless finishing services are rendered the day of service.

You are welcome to sit under the hood dryers if there is available space or time. There is no guarantee that there will be available space or time for this. Your stylist will let you know if there is time available and how much if necessary. Please understand there is limited space and it is not a required service for us to provide. This is not permitted during holiday seasons, promotional events, evening appointments or weekends at all. Clients are never permitted to ‘Bring Their Own” equipment due to regulations with the State of NJ as well as insurance liability.

DEPOSITS FOR SPECIALTY / BRIDAL SERVICES
For specialty services, hair extensions and weddings/event styling appointments’ a partial refundable deposit must be paid for in advance. A non-refundable 25% deposit of the service is due upon booking; a second deposit of 25% is due 8 weeks prior to the event date; the remaining balance is due on the date of service. A credit card will be held on file for these services. The terms and conditions under which the second deposit is refundable are having cancelled your scheduled appointment within 30 days prior to scheduled service. 

PRODUCTS OR SERVICE RETURNS
We will gladly adjust any service you receive within two weeks of the original visit. Please call as soon possible to reschedule.

We will exchange any hair care product within 30 days of purchase with the value being used toward another retail purchase only. Any appliances, makeup, brushes, and skincare may be returned within two weeks only if unused/sealed and in new condition with the value being used toward another retail purchase.
All Boutique sales (jewelry, fragrance, décor, etc) are final sales.

No refunds will be given for gift card purchases. Gift certificates or gift cards cannot be redeemed for cash. Cards may be transferred to another recipient or used for the specified value at any Salon, Spa or Studio. Card must be presented for redemption.

LOST, FORGOTTEN AND DAMAGED ITEMS
The B Hive Salon is not responsible for items lost, forgotten or damaged during your appointment with us. We ask that clients keep up with their personal belongings, and in case of left items, we will contact you and keep the items for 2 weeks, and if not claimed, the items will be donated to the charity of our choice.

PRICING
Pricing may vary slightly depending on these factors: time & product used. Complimentary consultations may be scheduled - we encourage all guests to solicit an accurate price quote from your service provider before having a service performed. We want you to feel comfortable with the pricing so you can relax and enjoy your service. 

Pricing for products or services is subject to change at our discretion. We do make every attempt to notify you of pricing changes in advance or at your next service if possible.

DISCOUNTS
Only one discount may be used per service or product purchased per visit. Specific event discounts are for one time use only. Discounted products or services are not subject to further discount. Multiple session packages are discounted and therefore cannot be discounted further or purchased with a coupon.

Donation, raffle or promotion services must be booked in advance. Any color services of this type require a consultation prior to booking of the services to correctly schedule the time needed. These services have no cash value and any combined services must be booked for the same day at the same time of service. Stylist requests are not permitted unless specified as part of the promotion. Promotions may not be used for retail purchases unless stated. Gratuities are not included as part of any promotional service and are customary based on the value of the services.

If there is ever an issue with your hair cut or color services we will be happy to address any issues within a two week period.

We are the best Salon and Spa in Bergen County and we never forget that it is our clients who give us our reputation. Without clients, we are nothing. At The B Hive Salon and Spa, you are a valued client and we will do whatever it takes to consistently exceed your expectations. If you have ever visited us and you haven’t said “WOW”, we want to hear about it! We can’t fix what we don’t know is broken.
